Hi, I’m Bec!
At Feel to Heal, I work with people of all ages through tailored therapy and assessment, with a focus on supporting young people and their families. My approach is positive, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming, grounded in the belief that we all have unique strengths.
I support a range of concerns, including learning and attentional differences, developmental challenges, emotional regulation, anxiety, low mood, and adjustment to life stressors. I also provide cognitive, learning, and neurodevelopmental assessments, including for autism and ADHD, to guide practical support across settings such as home and school. I have a background in education, with 20 years’ experience as a teacher. This is a key strength in my clinical work, supporting my understanding of child development, learning needs, and effective home–school collaboration.
I draw on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). My aim is to support clients to develop insight, flexibility, and navigate challenges with curiosity and confidence. I also strive to make therapy enjoyable, especially for young people.
Outside of clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our Cavalier, who’s never met a lap he didn’t claim as his own. I also love getting outdoors, playing guitar, and getting stuck into a home DIY project.
