Stephanie Herrmann
Registered Psychologist
BSc(Psych)(Hons), MProfPsych
Hi, my name is Steph,
I’m a Registered Psychologist who works with people of all ages, with a particular passion for supporting children, adolescents, and their families. I often talk about looking for the ‘rainbow’ in every person — recognising their strengths, interests and potential, no matter how big the challenges they may be facing. I believe young people thrive when they feel comfortable, supported, and actively involved in the therapeutic process, so I aim to make sessions engaging, collaborative, and meaningful. My goal is not only to help navigate current difficulties, but to help build skills, confidence, and resilience that can make a lasting difference beyond the therapy room.
I support individuals experiencing a range of challenges (anxiety, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, depression, school-related concerns, and social or relationship difficulties). I also have a special interest in supporting neurodivergent clients, helping them better understand and embrace their neurotype.
Because every person brings their own experiences, strengths, and goals to therapy, I tailor my approach to each individual, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies (such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies). Above all, I strive to create a warm, safe, and neuro-affirming space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
Alongside therapy, I offer a range of assessments (including for intellectual disability, specific learning disorders, giftedness, ADHD, and autism) and run group programs. I love the diversity that assessments and groups bring to my work.
Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and two children (often cheering from the sidelines of the sporting field), running outdoors, walking my much-loved spoodle Archie, or hanging with friends sharing good food and chats.
